How did you get an infection in your leg? Pesky hellhound bite you? On the mend, and actually not quite bad. I had room service. Ha! I could call them at anytime of the day and tell them bring me food. I had a menu in the room to go off of. I have no idea how. They had no answers either. Kind of scary. At least the bad part is over with.

 Re: Home Again!
Welcome back Chif, glad you’re feeling better. Did you experience any pain with this, or was it something that looked bad and needed to be checked out?

So, no one knows where the infection came from?

All it takes is for the smallest little cut for it to get into to start colonizing. And yes, I work with bacteria. However I haven't worked with this particular strain in over 2 months. I'm not so careless with those little Bastards in the lab.

 Re: Home Again!
Hehehe - I can see you in hospital... "hey doctor, what virus strain is it? Tell me, cause I know 50 ways to kill it!!" Hows the leg now? btw - I always imagined someone working with Viruses (err what ever the plural) to wear hazmat suits or work with those glass boxes that the gloves fit in (see my technical knowledge?) Do you ever have to use those??

 Re: Home Again!
Then how did they treat you?
Did they just feed you a variety of meds, hoping one would work?

Did they just feed you a variety of meds, hoping one would work? With an antibiotic called Vancomycin. Pretty potent one that will kill just about anything. Including veins!!! That stuff hurt worse than anything else I endured over this.
